7 Mind-Body Skills For Health, Healing & Personal Growth
This two-day intensive experiential workshop is designed to provide healthcare professionals with experiential training in an eclectic mix of psychological and emotional
skills for facilitating health, healing and personal growth.
The skills and tools that will be covered include
1 - Presencing
Presencing is a skill that facilitates subtle, but profound shifts in consciousness. It
allows an individual to transcend habitual patterns of thinking and reacting and in doing so experience and resonate
with the creative impulses of the future via the gateway of the present moment. The applications and value in doing
this are many. They include instant transcendence of conflict, opening
oneself to experiencing love and connection, dissolving emotional blocks, accessing and being moved by creative knowing, and developing a conscious relationship with one’s essence (the Authentic Self) .
2 - EmoTrance
Developed by Silvia
Hartman, this skill harnesses the power of intention
to remove the underlying disturbances associated with a wide range of emotion related
challenges. It is particularly effective for helping patients/clients let go of
grief, trauma, heartbreak, resentment and emotional upset. It can also be
used for overcoming barriers to intimacy and self-acceptance.
3 - Dynamic Relaxation
Learning how to trigger
the relaxation response is at the heart of mind-body work. In
this section of the workshop you will be shown a number of techniques for cue-controlled relaxation.
4 - Guided Imagery
The imagination when used consciously and deliberately can become an effective and reliable resource for helping individuals realise their health and life goals. It is particularly useful for
rehearsing the implementation of lifestyle changes, shifting perceptions and
habitual emotional responses, accessing creative insight and supporting health treatment programmes.
5 - The Choices Method
Based on Gary Craig’s
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), this energy psychology skill can be used to help resolve self-limiting beliefs, break negative thought/feeling cycles, overcome phobias and instal positive, pro-health suggestions and programmes.
6 - The Inquiry Process
Many patients/clients
suffer at the hands of so called ‘negative thinking’. The Inquiry Process acknowledges
that thoughts are not intrinsically the problem, but rather the individual’s
relationship to them and belief in them. Using The Inquiry Process you will
be able to teach your patients/clients how to create a conscious (and freeing) relationship
to their stressful thoughts.
7 - The Conscious Creation Process
This intention-based skill is designed to be used on a daily basis to help individuals create positive change in their life.
